ABOUT JESUS ARIZABAL III
A native New Yorker, Jesus graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, specializing in Evening Wear. His grandmother, a head patternmaker in the garment district for over forty years, nurtured his affinity for fashion.
Over the next ten years, Jesus continued broadening his expertise across all women’s and men’s product categories, and the business of fashion.
Jesus’ journey brought him to a number of notable fashion brands and vertical retailers: Adrianna Papell, MIX Apparel, New York & Company, Lord and Taylor, Sak’s Fifth Avenue, Saks off Fifth, Gilt, and Hudson Bay’s Company.
His steady ascent at HBC tested all facets of his creativity, leadership, and strategic abilities. Appointed to various design lead posts from women’s contemporary brands: Scripted and Renvy, to overseeing men’s and women’s active athleisure brand Askya. He notably spearheaded design for HBC’s most highly publicized, first of its kind, design collaborations: SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker for GILT and Le Cloud by Amy Schumer and Leesa Evans for Saks Off 5th. These appointed roles were a testament to his strong work ethic, resolve, and ability to pivot.
In his latest role at Hudson's Bay Company as Senior Design Manager & Product Development, he led a high performing men’s design team in strategic brand development and revitalization of three pillar men’s private brands (within Classic Modern, Modern Contemporary, and Tailoring) resulting in $48.8M in annual sales. Jesus’ distinctive customer-focused design sense, business acumen, and relationship-building qualities have allowed him to develop into a well-rounded designer.
